Sarung in Gaya Street, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah

I'm able to get this sarung as a souvenir for my mom in gaya street for RM15 one piece. I don't know whether there's a cheaper out there compared to this but for a first time bargainer, I think it's quite a good deal.
There's some old ladies selling the sarung there although I already forgot on where is their exact location in the street in Sunday market. As I not mistaken, they set up selling near the fountain there.
The sarung is a traditional clothing wore in many South East Asia's countries, especially some older women. Although it has been slowly making it's way into the spotlight as a fashion statement but you rarely see this from countries other than this region. (I think?)
The fabric for this sarung is smooth and the colour as you can see in the photo is very vibrant. There's some worries that the colour will fade easily after washing it. According to my mom, she said it does fade after the first wash but not much. After that the colour will remain almost the same, as long as you don't use bleach.
Because the fabric is very smooth so it's pretty comfort if you use it as a sleepwear.
Here's another photo of the sarung.

UMS-DKP Lama

Basically we have 2 DKP in UMS, DKP Lama and DKP Baru. DKP is the BM abbreviation for lecture hall. The picture here shows the upper part of the DKP Lama. Why I say upper part of DKP Lama? Because DKP Lama has been separated into 2 part. One is on the lower part and another is at the upper part. Technically the upper part is more like on the hill whereas the lower part is on the foot of the hill. But don't worry, it's not very high to get up to the upper part. You just need to take the stairs to get up there as shown in the picture below.
There's a cafe near by called Bayu Cafe where there will always have students going there for lunch or dinner after class. It offers many types of foods from nasi goreng USA to Brunei and Singapore. XD! Unfortunately I forgot to take the picture of the cafe. But the view from this cafe is so beautiful as you can see the sea from here. Guess you have to come to UMS if you are interested in studying here. XD!

UMS

I beg many of the pre-u students are searching for the information about the public university in Malaysia. I cannot provide much information about other university but at least I will try my best to provide some information about Universiti Malaysia Sabag (UMS). I hope this blog can serve as a reference for those students out there that are interested in this university.
This is the sunset view from the beach of UMS. It's called Outdoor Development Center (ODEC). Many of the activities in UMS are conducted here. For example, the aquaculture family day is conducted here before.

I may not able to provide lots of information right now, but in the future I will post more things about UMS especially things related with the aquaculture program in UMS.
